Braking Voltage and Resistance Calculation Schematic Circuit Diagram
When calculating the braking voltage, a phase winding ohmic resistance of the motor to be braked first is measured. According to the connection type of the motor account is done as follows:
If the motor is connected to the star;
The motor is connected to the triangle;
The point to be considered here is that the braking current is of no value to the windings. If we want braking to be stronger, the star current is chosen as the braking current. Since the braking time is short, the windings will not be damaged.
Example 1: A 10V DC voltage was applied to the UX terminals of a 3-phase asynchronous motor with a 220 / 380V, 1.73 / 1A in the label and 0.5A of the ammeter connected to the circuit was read. Calculate the braking voltage for this motor. (Motor phase voltage will be connected to the network with 380V.)
This motor must be connected to the star. According to this;
UF = (I / 1,11) * (3R / 2)
UF = (1 / 1,11) * (
3/2 ) * (10 / 0.5) Found in UF = 27V.
